MediaBin
MediaBin is an off-the-shelf application developed by MediaBin, Incorporated. It is an asset management system that distinguishes itself by its ability to store and distribute high-resolution digital assets. In addition to being an image repository, the MediaBin also provides high-end image processing capabilities. That is, users can select pre-defined tasks that automate the translation of an asset from one file type to another, from one color space to another, from one size to another, etc. The MediaBin application server actually processes the user’s selected task (or request) dynamically and delivers the re-purposed asset to the user. Suppliers interact with the MediaBin using the Internet Explorer browser (I.E. 5.5 and greater) and standard http protocol. MediaBin stores images, videos, catalog .pdf files, QTVR movies, line art & logos.
