FMEA Handbook V4.2 was been released in December 2011. The handbook converges with the latest release of SAE FMEA recommended practice – SAE J1739 (published August 2002). De acuerdo en que esta es una herramienta poderosa, sobre todo porque siendo uno de los core tools, pero "personalizada" a los requerimientos de Ford,. Estaremos hacienda uso de esta valiosa información que Ford pone al alcance de sus provedores.
