GMAP e1291

The GMAP e1291 site allows suppliers to Ford Motor Company to submit material composition and their associated MSDSs through the web and obtain Tox numbers for materials; Tox numbers are required to purchase non-dimensional materials within Ford Motor Company.

Registration

1. Obtain access to Covisint and the Ford Supplier Portal (it is easiest to call Covisint directly (numbers below).  Or, you can use the steps below (Steps 2-6).

Your goal:  Gain Covisint Access / Ford Supplier Portal Access and GMAP e1291 Access to the 5-digit GSDB codes predetermined by you and your Company Covisint Administrator.

2.  Ford Supplier Portal Access:  At the Covisint Enter Organization Information screen, enter your organization's information and select continue registration:

• At the Service Package screen - select "Ford Supplier Portal"
•  At the Enter GSDB code at for the Ford Supplier Portal - enter only the FIRST  four
  letters/numbers of your GSDB Code.

             (Example:  GSDB-Code = AA11A  enter  AA11  only)

3.  Once you have Ford Supplier Portal access, determine your company administrator:

• Use the Ford Supplier Portal left menu and visit "My Administrators"

4.  Work with your Administrator to determine what 5-digit GSDB codes s/he will give you access to and use this information to request 5-digit GMAP e1291 access

5.  Request GMAP e1291 sub-package:

• Ford Supplier Portal left menu and visit "Administration Tools"
• Select "request service" under "my profile"
• Under "Ford Supplier Portal" click "request sub-package"
• Click the request button next to the GMAP e1291 application.

6. Once Covisint has sent you an email stating that your access to GMAP e1291 has been granted, use the "my profile" to ensure that you have access to the 5-digit GSDB codes and contact your Administrator to complete the Administrator mapping process.  The Administrator will need to use the Covisint "My Organization" tab to map and give you access to GMAP e1291.

The Toxicology Office can help you with GMAP e1291 application (your composition and MSDS submission), but the mapping process to GMAP e1291 is up to you and your Covisint Administrator.

GMAP e1291 navigation

• At the main GMAP e1291 Home page / select the Supplier link titled: GMAP e1291 for Supplier
• Select appropriate regional entry point (e.g., North America e1291) and read / accept the Confidentiality Statement
• At the Supplier Material Composition Selection screen / use the second entry GMAP# to input the GMAP# indicated in the email subject  (see screen shot below); press select button
• Use the "update" hyperlink next to the GMAP# to enter the composition data entry and MSDS upload screen.  Complete the form and submit
• Note: If there is no GMAP selection return, you are not mapped to this GSDB code. Ask your Covisint system administrator to grant you access (see step 5).
